I don't have any immediate relatives that served in our military. But our Carter Family has had hundreds if not thousands of veterans. The one I know for sure is Lyman Foster, my dad's cousin and great friend. Lyman was a descendant of John and Hannah. Ironically when in boot camp his bunk mate was none other than my mother's step-brother. What a small world.
